‘Lucky Nut’ is an evergreen tropical shrub or small tree native throughout Mexico and Central America. It reaches a height of 12-15 feet. Its leaves are willow-like, glossy green in color and covered with a waxy coating to reduce water loss. Flowers bloom from summer to fall. The long funnel-shaped yellow flowers are in terminal clusters. Its fruit is deep reddish black in color, encasing a large seed.
Prefers full sun and well-draining soil. It tolerates most soils and is drought tolerant once established. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
