Sanchezia munita

Sanchezia munita is an impressive ornamental shrub that produces showy orange-red bracts above broad green leaves. It is native to North Brazil and grows under the rainforest canopy and receives protection from the hottest sun. It has proven adaptable to South Florida conditions and can take some sun but does best with some shade for part of the day. It also benefits from added water during the hottest parts of the day.
