A new introduction to South Florida horticulture, this Asian plant is often mistaken for some kind of fig. However, it is more closely related to Cecropia. It has a spreading/crawling habit and makes an excellent groundcover. It can also climb and has roots that will adhere to a trunk or rock like an aroid. The heart-shaped pleated leaves are quite attractive. The young leaves emerge pink and the inflorescences are tiny spherical structures studded with minute flowers that look like little fuzzy projections. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
