Phyllanthus cochinchinensis, also known as 'Tipsy-wood', is an ornamental shrub that’s known for its drooping ornamental foliage. It can reach a height of 8 to 9 feet. The native range of this species is S. China to Nansei-shoto and Indo-China. It grows primarily in a wet tropical biome. Small, teardrop-shaped leaves are spirally arranged on yellowish-brown stems. Tiny, white male and female flowers emerge on the same plant and hang below the foliage. Prefers partial sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining soil. It is a desirable species to be used at the borders of raised planters or draped over walls from the top to soften the hardscape. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
