Giant Granadilla is a fast-growing vine that produces the largest fruit of any species within the genus Passiflora, growing to a length of 12 inches. The fruit produces numerous seeds embedded in an edible pulp that has a melon-like flavor, ripe when the exterior is slightly wrinkled. It is a perennial climber native to the neotropics, displaying showy red petaled flowers with a distinct corona of white and purple frilly filaments. Flowers and fruits all year. Passiflora quadrangularis thrives in full sunlight, moderate watering and well-draining soil. (Pot size: 1.5 gallon)
