Pandanus tectorius 'dwarf spineless'
Regular price
$25.00
Unlike typical Pandanus tectorius which can become a sizable and spiny plant, this selection seems not to form a trunk and tends to clump at ground levels reaching about 6ft tall. The leaves are blue-green and lack spines, making this a friendlier landscape plant than many Pandanus. This may be what was once called Pandanus tectorius var. laevis, one of the versions of this widespread species that was selected for basket weaving in the South Pacific. It is quite adaptable in South Florida and can take conditions from full sun to part shade. It is tolerant of poor drainage. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
