'Lopsided Star Orchid' is native to tropical and semitropical regions from the Caribbean to N. South America. It is a reed stem orchid that can grow as an epiphyte, a terrestrial or a lithophyte (on rocks). The stems are canelike, covered by persistent leaf sheaths. The inflorescence is terminal with flowers colored magenta. This orchid produces the longest seed in the family Orchidaceae. Epidendrum secundum thrives in bright, indirect sunlight and well-draining soil. It typically reaches a mature height of 12-24 inches and the spread can range from 12-18 inches. (Pot size: 1 gallon)
