Dendrolobium umbellatum 'Vanuatu'

Regular price $30.00 $0.00 Unit price per
  • full sun
A striking gold-leaf form of this attractive shrubby small tree, found originally in the grounds of a Presbyterian church on the island of Vanuatu, which is why it is sometimes called "Presbyterian Tree". The compound leaves have three leaflets and emerge with an orange-salmon color and then turn gold at maturity. White pea-like flowers are occasionally produced. It looks best in full sun and responds well to pruning and can make a good screening plant. This species is tolerant of salt spray and should make a good candidate for coastal plantings in South Florida. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
