'Beach Zamia' is a rare and spectacular insular species from the Bastimentos Islands off Bocas del Toro, Panama. Found in the proximity of beaches and salt water, Zamia nesophila is relatively salt tolerant and can tolerate sun, but prefers partial sun/partial shade and does best in sandy soils. The trunk reaches to 9 feet tall and 9 inches in diameter and holds up to 20 leaves per crown that can exceed 7 feet in length. It is characterized by extremely broad plicate leaflets. This is an excellent specimen for the Cycad enthusiast. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
