Portlandia grandiflora

Portlandia grandiflora, also called 'Bell Flower', is an attractive, small shrub, growing up to 15 feet tall. It is mainly found in limestone montane forests of the Caribbean. Because it grows in alkaline soil, it is perfect for South Florida. Portlandia grandiflora has large white trumpet-shaped flowers and dark-green, glossy leaves. The fragrant flowers begin as a star shaped bud and open in the evening to display a pure white trumpet, giving off a strong vanilla scent. It blooms throughout the year and can grow in full sun to part shade. Requires well-draining soil. (Pot size: 2 gallon)
