Asplenium nidus

'Bird's Nest Fern' is a tropical evergreen fern whose fronds, which are long, leathery, and glossy, arise from a central rosette. The fronds are light green with a black midrib. The leaves are also characterized by sori underneath the leaves, which produce spores for reproduction. As the leaves brown, they roll back, creating big structures that look like bird's nests, giving the plant its name. Asplenium nidus prefers bright, indirect light, moderate humidity, and well-draining soil. (Pot size: 1 gallon)
