Spathoglottis plicata

'Philippine Ground Orchid' is an evergreen, terrestrial plant with pseudobulbs, long, straplike, pleated leaves and resupinate (twisting 180 degrees as they open) white flowers. Spathoglottis plicata is widely distributed in South East Asia and has escaped cultivation to become naturalized throughout the Caribbean, Florida, and Hawaii. It blooms year-round with the heaviest blooming in summer and reaches a height of 12 to 18 inches. Prefers full sun to part shade. Do not over water. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
