Anthurium spectabile is found growing in the premontane wet forests and tropical wet forests of Central America. This species is recognized by its elongate, pendent leaf blades that can grow up to 5 feet or longer. The thick, leathery leaves are adorned with rows of prominent silver-white primary lateral veins. Also distinctive is the inflorescence with its short peduncle, violet-purple spathe and yellow spadix. It is usually found growing as an epiphyte in trees with its huge leaves hanging down many feet. A great plant for hanging baskets or mounted on a tree. Grow in light shade in moist but well drained soil. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
