Anthurium salvinii

Anthurium salvinii is a robust ‘Bird’s Nest Anthurium’ with glossy, dark green leaves that are arranged in a rosette and can reach 6 feet long and 1 to 2 feet wide. The spathe that encases the inflorescence is green, with a slight tinge of purple, and the berries are red. The native range of this aroid is Mexico to Colombia. It is an epiphytic subshrub and grows primarily in a wet tropical biome. Anthurium salvinii makes for a dramatic container plant, display plant or an understory filler in a tropical garden. Prefers part shade to full shade and well-draining soil. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
