Collected in the wild in the subhumid forests of Analavelona, Madagascar and propagated at the Fairchild Nursery, Aloe analavelonensis is a perennial, acaulescent (no apparent stem above ground) flowering succulent that offsets prolifically to form dense mats of dozens of individuals. Each plant has about 9-12 short leaves armed with erect deltoid teeth. Leaves are in a rosulate arrangement. It spreads horizontally at first, then becomes slightly recurved upwards. The inflorescence is a simple few-flowered raceme and the tepals are reddish-orange. Prefers shade/partial sun and well-draining soil. (Pot size: 6")
